Bluebelles – a gem!

The third stop on my coffee tour took me to Bluebelles in Notting Hill. Perfectly located as the final stop on a stroll through Portobello Market, this café is a gem – I can’t recommend it enough!

Owner Johnny was on-hand as soon as we walked in the door to help us secure the perfect corner table.

He opened Bluebelles in October and it’s clear that he’s put a lot of thought into his baby.

They brew Caravan coffee, and they brew it well. My latte was fantastic.

Johnny told us his baristas are teaching him to design coffee like this, but he isn't quite there yet!

My coffee companion was pretty pleased with her cappuccino as well.

She took a sip before I had time to snap a pic!

After the success of my coffee, I was a bit worried that my meal wouldn’t be able to keep up – but it definitely did not disappoint. I had the smoked salmon salad and it was incredible (this is from a girl who’s reluctant to consider a lettuce a meal).

My friend had a chicken and goat cheese salad. She added the chicken by special order and the result was this fabulous combination:

Johnny recommended the Bluebelles Mess as their real specialty. I can’t remember all of the components off the top of my head but you can see a sneak peak here: ‪pic.twitter.com/ohZ8BH31

I’ll definitely be heading back to try that one. Let me know if you get there first!
